Welcome to day twenty-seven
of March SWEET Madness—a month long party to celebrate the upcoming release of
my novel, SWEET
MADNESS, available April 2, 2013.
Today you are in for a treat! Since her debut in 2010,
featured author Courtney Milan has done it all! Her books have been nominated
for numerous awards, including the prestigious Romance Writers of America’s
RITA® and RT Reviewers Choice. She’s hit the New York Times and USA Today
Bestseller lists. AND now she’s taken her career into her own hands to become
her very own publisher!
I’d like to feature
her first full-length novel on that journey (there is a novella that precedes
it, here),
THE DUCHESS WAR.
Miss Minerva Lane is a quiet, bespectacled
wallflower, and she wants to keep it that way. After all, the last time she was
the center of attention, it ended badly—so badly that she changed her name to
escape her scandalous past. Wallflowers may not be the prettiest of blooms, but
at least they don’t get trampled. So when a handsome duke comes to town, the
last thing she wants is his attention.
But that is precisely what she gets.
Because Robert Blaisdell, the Duke of Clermont,
is not fooled. When Minnie figures out what he’s up to, he realizes there is more
to her than her spectacles and her quiet ways. And he’s determined to lay her
every secret bare before she can discover his. But this time, one shy miss may
prove to be more than his match…
And now for the fun
part—your chance to win! Just fill out the rafflecopter form below. Contest
will be open for 2 weeks. (This is an e-book only contest open

Sweet Enemy
Beakers and ball gowns don't mix, so when lady
chemist, Miss Liliana Claremont, goes undercover as a husband-hunter to
investigate Lord Geoffrey Wentworth, the earl whose family she suspects
murdered her father, romance isn't part of her formula. But it only takes one
kiss to start a reaction she can't control...

Sweet Deception
Lady criminologist, Miss Emma Wallingford, unknowingly finds herself tangled up in the dangerous final mission of Lord Derick Aveline, a spy who also happens to be her long-lost first love. But when deception, however sweet, is the name of the game, no one can be trusted. And every love--and every life--is at risk.

And don’t forget SWEET MADNESS,
coming April 2, 2013!
There’s a fine line between love and insanity…
Ever since her husband’s sudden and tragic
death, Lady Penelope Bridgeman has committed herself to studying the maladies
of the mind, particularly treating traumatized soldiers of the Napoleonic Wars.
It is this expertise that brings the Marquess of Bromwich’s family to her door.
Gabriel Devereaux’s unexpected and
unpredictable episodes are unlike any Penelope has studied. The once proud
soldier has been left shaken and withdrawn, but she manages to build a fragile
trust between them. Strangely, Gabriel seems completely lucid when not in the
grips of his mania, and in the calm between bouts, she is surprised by how much
she is drawn to him.
Despite his own growing feelings, Gabriel knows
that he is fit for no one, and is determined to keep Penelope away from his
descent into madness. But even though she knows firsthand the folly of loving a
broken man, Penelope cannot stop herself from trying to save him, no matter the
cost.

I wear glasses and I always try to make sure they have personality. Thanks for the contest. lisagk (at) yahoo (dot )com
ReplyDeleteSome days, I MISS my glasses. I finally had LASIK last year, and while I love being able to wake up and see, and not having to put contacts in when I want to swim, I miss my fun frames...plus, I'm pretty sure I look older now. My glasses hid the dark circles brought on by kids!
DeleteI have never had to wear glasses, but am now needing to use readers. So soon I will need the real ones. The readers I have chosen make me cute I am told. Hahaha!! Fifty-one and cute!!
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since I was 10 years old. I went through every stage of frame style except for horned rimmed...not quite that much of a nerdette! I also wore contact lenses from early 1967 until mid 1994. My Rx was changing too often to keep up with the cost of contacts and glasses! Now my taste in frames run to those large enough to handle trifocles. Yes, I'm old(er)!
ReplyDeleteI have worn glasses since I was 12 yrs old. Very boring.....
ReplyDeleteI have always worn glasses... blind as a bat w/out! But I like fun, unique glasses and I alternate between them and my contacts.
ReplyDeleteI am near-sighted and I have been wearing for nearly 20 years now. Tried contact lenses, but they don't work for me. Currently I have dark red/black glasses
ReplyDeleteYes I wear glasses, they're usually staid and proper but the earpieces on my current pair are kinda funky!
ReplyDeleteI have never worn glasses, but as I get older I think that may be a possibility for the future.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since 1st grade - but now I take them off to read books - my eyes have changed so my near-sight is better & I just need them for distance (it starts getting fuzzy about 2 ft from my face). The glasses are very light titanium in a metallic blue - I guess that's a little funky.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since 5th grade. They're contemporary, but not flashy. I'd like to get LASIK, but it's still so expensive compared to wearing glasses.
ReplyDeleteI was told that I needed reading glasses on my 40th birthday! I think they make me look studious! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since I was 9. My glasses have probably always been more on the functional side.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Courtney and Heather! Yes, I wear glasses (trifocals) and have since I was 30 yrs old. I hated the transition at first because the glasses were so heavy and bulky and kept sliding down my nose and made sores on my ears no matter how many times I went in for adjustments. Now I wear frameless glasses so that all you see are teensy wire frames and all of my eyes. I don't even know they are on...and I love them! I guess you could say they are modern, not funky or fun, but very, very comfy to wear. Important to me! jdh2690@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI do wear glasses, but only at home. I wear contacts when I'm out. The glasses I have aren't too stylish or funky.
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses (also have contact lenses). Proper and professional :)
ReplyDeleteNo glasses for me but now I want some because all my friends have some and they look smart :) I want to look smart too! lol
ReplyDeleteGot the glasses on right now....go for the conservative.
ReplyDeleteYes, I wear glasses -- have since 4th or 5th grade and that was a long time ago. Think I've always gone for the 'proper' ones -- and through the years, the proper ones have included the 'cat eye' frame, really large lens frames, small lenses, and now I'm wearing the 'no frame' style. I don't know that any of my glasses have had 'personality', but do hope they have been complimentary.
ReplyDeletei do wear glasses and they are proper and perfessional... but my second pair are funky and fun... a girl has to have both... :-)
ReplyDeleteI am wearing my glasses right now actually. I wear them 80% of the day. They are black rimmed on the top and the bottom is rimless. I went for professional looking glasses because it works for every occasion. I am thinking of going for funky big glasses next. :)
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since the 4th grade and even though I switched to contacts quite some time ago, I always have a pair as back up, as well as the readers I have to wear now on top of the contacts. :D I do go for staid and proper, preferring gold metal frames that don't stand out too much.
ReplyDeleteI wore glasses from before I could remember as a toddler until I got LASIK about 3 years ago. Contacts wouldn't work to correct my vision enough and the glasses were so thick they determined the style just to hold them in. I don't miss glasses at all!
ReplyDeleteI do have some reading glasses, but they are pretty basic; nothing funky about them
ReplyDeleteI wear reading glasses over my contacts. My reading glasses are either colorful or have designs etched into the ear pieces.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear glasses, but I need them. *sigh* It's getting to the point of where I can't see crap on the chalkboard/whiteboard/overhead at school. Really annoying. (BUT, I can read my kindle just fine thank you lol)
ReplyDeletedon't wear glasses
ReplyDeleteI wear glasses, and I tend to not be fairly sedate in my choice.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear glasses, but when I was little I always wanted them haha
ReplyDeleteWhen we were younger my sister and I both bought a pair of hot pink glasses. We were obsessed. We thought people who wore glasses were so cool. We wore them for a whole weekend, before deciding we just wern't cool enough for them ;-)
ReplyDeleteI wear practical glasses with a little bit of personality. They are red and black.
ReplyDeleteI have worn glasses all my life. Someone asked me why I didn't get contacts, I asked them what would I do with my face without glassess.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since third grade with a ten year flirtation with contact lenses. I now own 3 very fashionable pairs of glasses which I change like accessories! :)
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses for over 35 years. :(
ReplyDeleteYes i do. I would like to think they have a bit.
ReplyDeleteI wore glasses before I switched to contacts and they were staid and proper all the way.
ReplyDeleteI got glasses when I was 15 and went to take the eye exam to get my learner's permit. My glasses were very dull and I switched to contacts as soon as possible. Both of my daughter's have glasses and have switched to contacts as well but they have cute glasses. They have glasses that are red framed and purple framed because those are their favorite colors. My younger daughter has had purple as her favorite color since she was about 3 and she had to have purple frames when she got glasses. They look way better than I would have thought purple frames would.
