Welcome to day twenty-one
of March SWEET Madness—a month long party to celebrate the upcoming release of
my novel, SWEET
MADNESS, available April 2, 2013.
Well, we’re officially
three weeks into March SWEET Madness and there’s still plenty of great historical
romance to come! Take, for example, today!!! I’m featuring USA Today Bestselling author Alexandra
Hawkins, and her latest, DUSK WITH A DANGEROUS DUKE! Alexandra is the author of
the wildly popular Lords of Vice series, of which this book is number six.
More about the book:
HIS BACHELOR DAYS ARE NUMBERED
They were children when the Duke of Huntsley was introduced to Lady Grace Kearly. The young duke—nicknamed “Hunter”—took one look at his future bride and thought only of escaping his responsibilities to his family. Marriage was for grown-ups and Hunter still had years of skirt-chasing ahead of him. But now the time has come for Hunter to heed the call: if this Lord of Vice hopes to keep all of his inheritance, he’ll have to claim his long-neglected betrothed…
HER WEDDING PLANS DON'T INCLUDE HIM
With her twenty-first birthday approaching, Lady Grace dreads the thought of marrying the duke she has met only once—especially since he’s grown into a notorious rake who will probably beget his heir and abandon her in the country while he pursues fresh game in London. So when Lady Grace coolly decides to call the wedding off, even Hunter is surprised by his refusal to let her go. Suddenly, the notion of claiming and taming this green-eyed beauty is one challenge he cannot resist…

Sweet Enemy
Beakers and ball gowns don't mix, so when lady
chemist, Miss Liliana Claremont, goes undercover as a husband-hunter to
investigate Lord Geoffrey Wentworth, the earl whose family she suspects
murdered her father, romance isn't part of her formula. But it only takes one
kiss to start a reaction she can't control...

Sweet Deception
Lady criminologist, Miss Emma Wallingford, unknowingly finds herself tangled up in the dangerous final mission of Lord Derick Aveline, a spy who also happens to be her long-lost first love. But when deception, however sweet, is the name of the game, no one can be trusted. And every love--and every life--is at risk.

And don’t forget SWEET MADNESS,
coming April 2, 2013!
There’s a fine line between love and insanity…
Ever since her husband’s sudden and tragic
death, Lady Penelope Bridgeman has committed herself to studying the maladies
of the mind, particularly treating traumatized soldiers of the Napoleonic Wars.
It is this expertise that brings the Marquess of Bromwich’s family to her door.
Gabriel Devereaux’s unexpected and
unpredictable episodes are unlike any Penelope has studied. The once proud
soldier has been left shaken and withdrawn, but she manages to build a fragile
trust between them. Strangely, Gabriel seems completely lucid when not in the
grips of his mania, and in the calm between bouts, she is surprised by how much
she is drawn to him.
Despite his own growing feelings, Gabriel knows
that he is fit for no one, and is determined to keep Penelope away from his
descent into madness. But even though she knows firsthand the folly of loving a
broken man, Penelope cannot stop herself from trying to save him, no matter the
cost.

Oh my biggest vice are books. LOL
ReplyDeleteI agree. I don't have any foods that are a vice for me, but books? Definitely! Especially since I discovered historical romance novels in Nov. 2011!:)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Maria! A relative historical rowmance newbie! So glad to welcome you to the fold ;)
DeleteOne of my passions is reading! Sometimes, I do admit that I spend too much time reading! I love Regency-Victorian and Scottish romances. What can I say its a "Sweet Passion"!
ReplyDeleteIt's gummies. I stop buying them in bulk or I'll finish all of them in one day!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather and Alexandra!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you both - Heather for sharing all the fun she's shared with us all and her up-coming release on April 2nd of Sweet Madness and to Alexandra for being recognized as a USA best seller!
I'm afraid after living all these years I have more than one vice (or two) but the way I look at it is that I can finally admit it and blame it on my age! All the males in my family who all tell me that by biggest vice is never admitting I'm wrong.
I keep telling them I AM never wrong - momentarily confused perhaps but never wrong!
PS: (I could at least have been lucky enough to have a daughter or two but fortunately have daughter-in-laws that I'm training to be as cranky as me)
I am a bookaholic! :-)

DeleteFried chicken--doctor says I shouldn't eat it but I will treat myself to a piece about every 3 months. Fried chicken was always my go to comfort food until doctor removed it from my diet.
ReplyDeleteThe only one I can think of is buying romance novels. I like to read anything romance.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest vice is food, in general. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love to eat, but I hate what it does to me!
ReplyDeleteBooks... I have a serious book hoarding problem. No joke... and the Kindle made it worse b/c it's easier to "hide" those purchases... but my dear BF is so sweet, he just sighs and builds me another bookshelf :)
ReplyDeleteHe's a KEEPER!
DeleteChocolate Chocolate Chocolate
ReplyDeleteMy vices are chocolate, books, and purses!
ReplyDeletemy vice??? mmm, buying books; playing free cell on the computer; staying at work wa-a-a-a-a-y too late; NOT cleaning house; NOT cooking. shall I go on?
ReplyDeletePS - I do not do twitter or tweet; and I'm staying away from pinterest, or it could become my worst vice!
I'm totally trying to moderate myself...Pinterest could be evil
DeleteReading and chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMy vice is loving chocolate too much.
ReplyDeleteChocolate..
ReplyDeleteI have two big vices. They are stubbornness and impatience!
ReplyDeletesweets - especially dark chocolate
ReplyDeleteBooks... and chocolate. But mostly books ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love dangerous men......
ReplyDeletedesert & romance books -- love em both & wouldn't want to do w/o either :)
ReplyDeleteHello Alexandra & Heather! You want to know my vice? Well, I have several. :-) Romance novels, carbohydrates, playing games with my two adult children and my sister on my tablet, and playing/walking with my Yorkie, Maggie. Thanks for asking for my comment. jdh2690@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteBooks and Coca Cola!
ReplyDeleteMy vices are food and books.
ReplyDeleteDrinking soda. Reading 12hrs+ & last but not least wanting to buy too much makeup; I don't actually but I get so tempted to.
ReplyDeleteMy vice is books of course. No matter how many I have, I just keep buying more. I don't think I'll be able to read all the books I have unless I live to be over 100, but I'll sure try. :D
ReplyDeleteChocolate...I would say reading, but that's not a vice at all! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy vices are my determination and I'm personable :)
ReplyDeleteI love Alexandra's books! (and yours :D)
ReplyDeleteMy vices are chocolate, dark ale, and Irish tea to get me going in the morning.
I have a major sweet tooth. :) Have tried like mad to curb it, but never quite can. (I don't count my *collection* of books as a vice! pffft)
ReplyDeleteBooks and carbs.

I recently devoured the earlier books in this series. I can't wait to read this one! I'd love to win this book. KEEP ON WRITING THIS SERIES!

I let my mom's comments bother me.

Probably my only vices would be romance novels and chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest vice is time on computer. I find so much to do. Never enough time for them all. I love all my friends and pages. But they take all my time, more time than I really should be on here. So they all are nice, but also a vice!!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely anything chocolaty! Romance novels aren't a vice, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteFood...yummy food! That's my vice, I just love to eat!
